Project Co-Ordinator.

Post will be on a contract basis (i.e. a self-employed person)

Two Days Per Week For One Year.

We have an exciting new project starting in March and require a Project Co-Ordinator, preferably ex-service personnel, to oversee the refurbishment of one of our Community Narrowboats.

The Project will include recruiting up to ten ex-service personnel, writing reports as necessary to our funders and to our Trustees.

You will need to be able to manage the whole Project including;

  • Producing a project plan with comprehensive timescales, expected delivery outcomes and budget allocation.
  • Recruiting up to ten ex-service men with the support of the Trustees.
  • Supervising and working with the ten volunteers to complete the Project to time and within budget.
  • Producing ongoing reports to our funders and HNA Trustees.
  • Ensuring that all materials are quoted for, purchased and ready for use in advance of the next stage of the project.
  • Ensuring that appropriate safety measures are in place and that the volunteers recruited are briefed on safety procedures and practises throughout the project.
  • Overseeing training of the volunteers, where necessary, to achieve the skill set that is required to carry out allocated tasks.
  • Liaising with other on-site personnel for shared use of facilities such as specialised workshop space and tools etc.
  • A working knowledge of carpentry/electrics/plumbing etc would be an advantage.

This contract will be for up to one year, working two days per week (days negotiable).
